Bavarian Shooting Federation (BSSB) / German Shooting Federation (DSB)
The DSB is the oldest and, with almost 1.4 million members, the largest shooting association and the 4th largest sports association in Germany. The club is affiliated to it via the BSSB as a national association. The DSB stands for "classical" sport shooting and represents the Olympic disciplines in Germany. The focus is on the static disciplines with air pressure and small bore weapons as well as black powder. In addition, there are a few disciplines for large caliber weapons.

Association of Bavarian Shooters (BBS) / Association of German Sports Shooters (BDS)
The BDS was founded in 1975 and stands for sporting shooting with high-calibre weapons. In addition to the static disciplines, the sports programme also includes many dynamic disciplines such as speed, falling target and multi-distance shooting. In addition to the disciplines for large calibre weapons, there are also many for small calibre and black powder weapons. For the youth there are also special disciplines for air guns. The BDS is also the representative for IPSC and Western shooting in Germany.
